In celebration of BABY-G’s 25th anniversary Casio is collaborating with the The Pokémon Company on a special edition BABY-G inspired by Pikachu, the 25th Pokémon in the Pokédex. Longtime fans of the Pokémon video game franchise will enjoy the distinctive details on the BABY-G watch, which incorporates the style of the original Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue video games released in 1996 in a fun and ingenious way.
The commemorative numbers “0:25” are printed on the band loop, while the matte black watch band is decorated with neon, polygon-style Pikachu lightning marks and Poké Balls.
The design of the dial references the original game screen, a nod to Pokémon’s 90’s origins. A familiar yellow polygon-style Pikachu appears when the EL backlight is turned on, while Pikachu’s silhouette can be discovered etched on the case back. The perfect finishing touch sees this limited edition presented in a specially shaped Poké Ball packaging.
